Laguna Village Rises from the Ashes
In the summer of 2020, Laguna Village was destroyed by fire which devastated Laguna village and homes. I personally watched as the flames grew higher from my home, it was devastating.
Two years on and “Laguna” is being built from the ground up. In July of last year, the mayor of Estepona, José María García Urbano laid the first stone of the new tourism and commercial complex.
GAT Inversiones and Grupo Pacha acquired the Laguna Village shopping centre at the end of 2019 from the Swiss-German group Sauer, in southern Spain. It will be a unique, first of its kind development that spans 13,000 square metres and will generate jobs for the town.
This new tourism and commercial complex will feature a beach club, shops, multiple restaurants, a yacht club and 1,200 square metre beach front. Scheduled to finish later this year, Laguna is set to become a symbol of luxury in Estepona for all the family to use yet again.
